Episode 12: The Koopa Troopa Room

Special guest Jon joins the gang to talk Universal Studios, annoying hybrid owners, standup vs technology, comic collecting and tiny girls who sound like Danzig!

Snazzy Streaming Player:

On this week's episode, we made mention of a certain swordmaster whose name we couldn't recall. That man was Bob Anderson. To quote from his Wikipedia page, "[Bob] was an English Olympic fencer, and a renowned film fight choreographer, with a cinema career that spanned more than 50 years and included films such as Highlander, The Princess Bride, The Mask of Zorro, The Lord of the Rings and Die Another Day. He was regarded as the premier choreographer of Hollywood sword-fighting, and during his career he coached many actors in swordsmanship, including Errol Flynn, Sean Connery, Antonio Banderas and Johnny Depp. He also appeared as a stunt double for Darth Vader's lightsaber battles in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi."

In other words, Bob was an absolute bad ass who was responsible for some of the most memorable movie moments of your childhood and beyond. If you wanted swords and excitement, you talked to Bob. He passed away early last year at the ripe old age of 89. We hardly knew ye, Bob, but you will be missed.
