Hey guys! As usual, I'm perusing the latest movie and TV headlines, ready to spam the Facebook page. Then I thought, why not just make a nice little news post on the blog? So, this is your NEWS GRAB BAG! (Title of recurring news articles subject to change)

Star Wars Rebels
I am getting more and more excited for this show since the announcement of Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy, villain extraordinaire) as The Inquisitor. Check out the all-new extended trailer below!

Space Station '76
In more spacey trailery news, Entertainment Weekly has an exclusive trailer for Space Station '76! The dark comedy about a bumbling space station crew debuted at SXSW earlier this year and features Patrick Wilson, Liv Tyler and the rest of the crew in fully 70's stylized vision of the future. Unfortunately, no word yet when and how the movie will be released. I'm guessing limited theaters and On Demand video, but ERMAHGERDICAN'TWAIT!

And here's the totally frame-worthy poster!
I want that robot. ...And Liv Tyler, of course.

Avengers: Age of Ultron / Iron Man 4
EW also had their fantabulous Avengers: Age of Ultron cover story this past week, part of which revealed Robert Downey Jr seemingly reconsidering his previous stance on getting ready to gracefully bow out as Iron Man and end on a high note. "It’s that thing of: Why give up the belt when it feels like you can barely get jabbed?” RDJ says. Then followed it up with, “Most people are saying that right when they get knocked out." RDJ concedes that it all depends on Marvel Studios prez Kevin Feige and Disney continuing to make the deals that get our favorite man-in-a-can hero on the screen. I just hope RDJ pulls a Hugh Jackman... "Wait a minute, that last one kicked ass..... HELL YEAH, LET'S DO MORE!"

Star Wars Episode VII
This next image alone just makes me so damn happy. I think it may be my new laptop wallpaper.

Admit it, you'd poop yourself.

Badass Digest is reporting that Gwendoline Christie (Brienne of Tarth on Game of Thrones) will play an Imperial officer tasked with hunting down a Stormtrooper who has deserted his post (also rumored to be played by John Boyega). The report also states Christie has been spotted in lightsaber training, so maybe she's a Sith? Maybe she stole it off a Jedi she killed? Who knows?

Personally, I like the idea of seeing non-Force adept characters using lightsabers, or at least attempting to. The idea is that you need Jedi/Sith reflexes to properly wield one, right? So wouldn't it be exciting as hell to see an Imperial officer, or a bounty hunter, or a certain smuggling scoundrel try to use a lightsaber in the middle of an intense fight? Dangerous on both ends of the blade, no? Exciting! DUN DUN DUN!

...I need to be writing these things. J.J., call me!
