The Interceptor returns...

Looks like today is a lovely day for posters...

At noon, TheFilmStage tweeted the first official poster for the long gestating Mad Max: Fury Road, along with the promise of a teaser trailer soon to follow.

That "soon" will most likely be this Saturday's Warner Bros. panel at San Diego Comic-Con.

As you can see, the poster shows good old Max (now played by Tom Hardy) in the midst of our favorite apocalypse, showcasing what at least appears to look very much like his original Interceptor!

Previous interviews with director George Miller revealed the film is essentially one giant chase from start to finish featuring fast cars, insane stunts, very little CG and very little dialogue. Will modern audiences embrace the old-school action vibe? Will old-school fans appreciate a Mel Gibson-less Max? I think so.

And who the hell cares if they don't? I. AM. STOKED!
